Zadie Xa, Ancestral Undulations and the Transmission of Knowing
Zadie Xa (b. Vancouver, 1983) is a Korean-Canadian artist working with performance, sound, video, painting and textiles. Recent exhibitions include: Grandmother Mago, live performance, AGO Toronto (2020); Feedback Loops, curated by Miriam Kelly, ACCA, Melbourne AUS (2020); Child Of Magohalmi and the Echos of Creation: De La Warr Pavillion, Bexhill-on-Sea UK (2020), Tramway, Glasgow SCT (2019) and Yarat Contemporary Art Space, Baku AZ (2019); 54th Venice Biennale “Meetings on Art” performance program curated by Ralph Rugoff and Aaron Cezar, produced by Delfina Foundation, Venice IT, (2019); and Soju Sipping on a Sojourn to Saturn, Galería Agustina Ferreyra, Mexico City, MX (2018), among others. She currently lives and works in London UK.
